Sign up for camp! The Sickle Cell Disease Association of Georgia organizes Camp New Light to give children living with sickle cell disease the opportunity to experience summer camp. The five-day, six-night adventure offers the excitement and fun of a traditional summer camp, with the unique advantage of an environment and staff that are responsive to campers’ health needs. Campers are encouraged to explore a variety of interests such as swimming, tennis and arts and crafts and participate in a program that fosters self-esteem, independence and community.
