Ambassador Policy Forum 2022

The Forum

Sick Cells will be hosting our 2022 Sick Cells Ambassador Policy Forum on March 22nd – 23rd, 2022. This event will include advocacy workshops and trainings that equip advocates with tools for state and federal policy efforts. You will also have the opportunity to meet with your federal legislators, share your unique story, and educate them about sickle cell issues and recommendations.

  • Day One (March 22nd) will host the advocacy training day on Zoom from 11 AM – 2 PM EST. Speakers will be announced closer to the date of the event.
  • Day Two (March 23rd) will host the Virtual Hill Day. Visit Capitol Hill in DC from the comfort of your home! You will have the opportunity to meet with your federal legislators and educate them about sickle cell disease issues and recommendations.

New This Year
We will offer a web-based platform for Ambassadors to use during your virtual Hill Day appointments. You will be able to:
  • Access your schedule
  • Customize talking points
  • Read legislator bios and information
  • Upload one-pagers
  • Connect to the virtual meeting rooms.

We are excited to be able to offer this new feature to our Ambassadors!
